Looking at our political attitude and my take on it....

Stylish PM... wonder why some people have a problem with that... whats the point to be meagre in dressing and doing all nonsense behind doors... and what is wrong to strengthen world ties and reaching out to the huge NRI population of our country who although contributing largely to our economy are usually neglected.. Unlike some people taking breaks and running away to unknown foreign destinations we see our PM working full time and i find the allegation that he is doing a lot of foreign trips as stupid, senseless and baseless. I actually feel insulted by these polititians who make such silly remarks, do they consider us idiots to believe what they say blindly. Sitting at the topmost chair of a country with the second largest population in the world with the largest diversity and democracy demands super powers... We gave this govt a huge mandate and i believe we need to give it support, time and a little understanding for our own good..yes we should criticise and strongly oppose what is wrong but not before understanding it fully by ourselves using our intellect and common sense, not blindly listening to the highly biased media that we have today..
I very well know and understand we are a politically committed state and i have seen a lot of our people who are blindly following political parties rather than thinking about themselves and the society. My friends warned me from making any political comments as this is a very sensitive topic which should not be touched by film personalities as they will be targeted by political groups.... Should i be afraid and stay away... i have seen the worst of my life what more... I dont believe in saying some emotionally driven statements which would be of no use to anyone but instead i just want to put forward my thoughts in front of all of you to think about and have a healthy discussion in a healthy platform.... I am really curious to know how the new generation of kerala looks into politics and where we are moving to...I am sorry i dont follow any political party infact i feel the very concept of party politics needs to be reworked as this system of party politics is forcing polititians to think more about the party rather than the job assigned to them..
Now coming to our own state i was very happy and thrilled hearing we too will have metro trains running in our state and like me all the excited people of kochi were ready to adjust with all the difficulties associated with it. But looking at the snail pace at which the work is progressing we are loosing our patience... Even after getting a wonderful leader like E. Sreedharan who finished much tougher jobs at record breaking speed we are unable to do anything.. who is to be blamed, is it just the political system alone or are'nt we as people of the state also responsible for this.. We pushed this great man to a level where he had to say that he will never work in kerala again.. what made him say that.. Now comes the ever eluding vizhinjam project which will contribute a lot to our states economic development.... thought it would at last see light but here again comes controversies and issues.. How long will we have to wait for it...Thanks to the CM, he recently issued a statement that all these controversies around the govt will not be a hindrance to the development activities...ooops i was actually wondering amidst solar, bar license and all the infinite number of controversies where do our leaders get time for anything at all... i was seriously worried...Long back i remember Dr Munner had proposed the super highway project which we as people crucified it putting forward all baseless, senseless issues... Today we are regretting it, it would have boosted our economy by developing tourism and all the industries here giving lakhs of people better jobs and better living...it would have saved a lot of time for the commuters and the strain and money they spend on fuel... Im sure many will shout at me saying what about the people who will loose land and house.. dear friends im going to loose my tharavaad in Kannur on which we have a lot of emotional attachment and sweet memories due to road widening. this is a sacrifice that we have to do for the larger good of the society... So many such instances where although being such a literate and a powerfully informed people we fall behind other states w.r.t development..
We are totally dependent on Our hard working NRI's and NRK's working in other states to send money back to us for our daily bread... What a sorry State... isn't it time to rethink our political attitude and do necessary change in ourselves ... should'nt we start from within ourselves rather than finding faults outside..Is'nt it high time, we as the so called new generation rethink on our approach to the world around us....  im sure 90% of people reading this will have a "pucham , parihasam " attitude to this and would think what the hell is an actor doing... don't i have any other job?...Take my word dear friends all the film personalities who although wants to do something against the negatives in the society and do some good work for the society keep quiet because of this attitude of yours....The respect and understanding we film personalities enjoy in other states are million times better than in our own land kerala. As the saying goes the biggest anti social elements are not the criminals but the so called good people who keep quiet at all the negatives things around them thinking it is none of my business.... with this note i stop for the day as my dad is waiting to take me to the hospital...will surely like to know your feedback and have a healthy open minded discussion on the same....

    1. When you make a commitment, you build hope. When you keep it, you build trust.
Which party can we trust.whats the solution?
people are ready to be part of the solution if the parties stop being part of the problem.

  5. 1-whats your say on Petrol Price hike? As per Modis old tweet a govt. is failed if the govt. cannot control the hike. who s going to suffer with this RS.15 hike. Ambani o Adani o common men like me?
2-if common men are suffering. how people can support all the actions of govt?
if common men, farmers are struggling with day to day life. can they support govt.s nuclear deal, fighter jet deal, smart city.....?

  7. I don't know how globalisation and economic reforms would effect common Indian people. The biggest problem India facing now is unemployment of crores of young people. I believe he is trying to bring more opportunities to help these people. As Jishnu pointed out "we should criticise and strongly oppose what is wrong but not before understanding it fully by ourselves using our intellect and common sense, not blindly listening to the highly biased media" and to the remarks made by polititians. To add to this, I don't know if any steps has been taken to address the farmers problems and I hope it will also be taken care of soon. And no comments on fuel price hike. Considering how it was in the past decade, I feel we could have some more patience in this regard.

  8. ok ....how are farmers affected..can u explain... now coming to your points on nuclear deal- we need power for any kind of development... infrastructure development is necessary for anybodies development... the major issue which farmers face is lack of power in the rural areas...lack of infrastructure for makin an efficient produce or taking their produce to people... what we need today to support our farmers is to provide them technological support, education and infrastructure support.... i am not saying everything they are doing is right or wrong but what i want to know is how clear are we regarding what is happening around us or are we motivated by information fed by media... i never said people should not raise their voice ..please read what i wrote a little bit more clearly...but my reaction to certain voices which i found very stupid... can u please tell me what made you call suitboot sarkar... are you blindly mimicking what opposition is saying or are you saying this with a clear knowledge...also do you understand the importance of business men... they should be well respected and supported.. if there are no job givers then there are no jobs...may i know whether you are working or studying... have you ever had any experience doing business in kerala.. it is next to impossible because of the people who have ruled kerala till now.... thats why everybody has to leave kerala in search of jobs....there r lots to write but i am stopping here with the note that please be unbiased... and look into the political scenario with a more clearer vision

  9. i really appreciate your concern about farmers ... we really need to understand what their actual problems are first... everyday we hear news about farmer suicides, why ?.... All these are only politcally utilised by the political parties and no good has happened to them till now... primary issue is the financial problem that they are not able to make a decent living out of agriculture.. the lions share is being swallowed by middle men.. they dont get the right price for their hard work.. there should be technical support so that they are able to effectively and efficiently do agriculture , financial and infrastructural support so that they can get the right price for their produce. Education and support of information technology to the depths of the country.. infrastructure like road connectivity so that the produce reaches the end consumer easily and effectively, store houses to safely store the produce till they are distributed to the consumer... these are the actual issues to be addressed... this is what we have to pressurise the govt....i will be doing a detailed study on this issue and very soon you will get an article for the same... i repeat i dont have any sympathy or attachment to any party... i am only bothered about the leader and what he is doing... my reaction is absolutely project wise and based on the implementation of the project and the results...

    1. Dear Jishnu,
People always interested to find out mistakes. Not ready to understand the reality. I can say you 100% that who ever is shouting about the current political status and social status of India doesnt know what happening now in India. They all just want to make some statements against the topic(whether it is political, religion, woman etc) to get highlighted in the society. Am not talking about any particular political party or leader. My point is If these critics are really concerned about our common people,Why they cant take any initiative that could support the common man?
Common people's life and live security is not only the responsibility of our Central or state government. That is the responsibility of each and everyone of us,I believe.
It is not the problem related with political attitude of people. It is just like "Kaaryam ariyathe aattam kaanuka".
      Take care brother!!!!

  10. A very valid point abhijith and well put.. i completely agree with you and this is exactly what my topic is.... basically we are all frustrated in some way or the other and vent our frustration at every opportune moment which is utilised by the media and politicians well.. I personally am now reading what the land acquisition bill is all about now and researching on other issues for the first time in my life.. i was also totally dependent on the information that is forced onto us and get motivated by it without giving much thought... what im trying to do and say from this post is that we need to be more aware and take sometime in knowing the ground reality before reacting.. today with internet we are in a world were information is freely available and in our finger tips... we should develop the attitude to get to the depths of things and be able to question and put pressure... social media is a very powerful medium and it has the power to make changes.... guess we should use it wisely...

    1. Hey buddy you really have misunderstood me as a BJP guy, I am not.. I was only reacting to some silly comments made by some people from whom I expect some serious issues to be bought out... Now coming to petrol hike I fully agree with you .. There should have been a further lowering of the prices but I'm ignorant to write anything further about that issue.. Lemme see if I can get more data on this issue.. My intention with this blog is to probe further into the political activity, research well, go deeper into the issues so that we have clearer understanding of what's actually happening around.. Let's be clear one thing whatever that is happening around is politrics and not politics so we got to be smart to handle them also.. That's all

but what India is missing now is not just development. thats religious harmony. thats our soul of the country. check in facebook. we are degrading. we didnt have such hatred feelings before 20 years.. dreaming of a peaceful India with development.

  12. I appreciate ur courage to speak out for a better state . Not many come forward to do it . But are we jus being limited in blogging and posting comments ? Are we really taking any initiative to put things on the right track ? I dont think so . I am not discouraging what u have written about , but jus trying to make it a point , that WE NEED TO WAKE UP TO ACT FOR OUR SOCIETY !!!

  16. Hello. I agree to what Jishnu said with regards to no/less job opportunities (I agree to other parts of his article as well) in Kerala and that people have to leave Kerala in search of jobs. I am an MBA grad in finance and there's absolutely no opportunities here in Kerala. Many of the financial services firms are located outside - like in Blore, Mumbai etc.
